More on Minnesota's new rural strategy

Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota is promoting a major expansion of investment in rural Minnesota.  He will be asking the Legislature for $70 million in rural economic development funds.  

The funding commitment follows the announcement last September of the initiative called Strategic Entrepreneurial Economic Development, or SEED. The initiative calls for 22 strategies in three broad categories.  Read more.
